A team from the Office of the Dean of Students occasionally holds interactive meetings with lecturers and students of the various faculties. Efforts are made to meet with the Provosts, Deans of Faculty, Heads of Department, and the Lecturers in each Faculties to discuss issues, involving students, regarding how to improve the quality of services for students and the University in general. These meetings are held in the first and second semesters every year.
Lecturers are encouraged to look out for vulnerable students who may be pressured academically, financially or psychologically. Similar exclusive interactive meetings are organized with students where they are encouraged to present their concerns verbally or in writing. Feedback from these meetings are appropriately documented and disseminated to the University College Academic Board for review. The overall purposes of these meetings are to deepen collaboration between the office and the faculties to promote strong working relations to produce sustainable, measurable and achievable results.
